Dearest Fans,  
  
It has come to my attention that there has been some concern about a photo shoot and my presence being missing from the tour. I want you all to know first before I get into this that I had no control over the fact that I couldn't be on tour for the next couple of weeks. My doctor shut me down. I was absolutely devasted. I feel horrible for the fans that missed me and would love to make up to you all some how. But first and foremost I must get better so that I can have a great and long carreer. I want to be able to see you all your faces one day on my very own tour. There have been many rumors circulating as to what I'm doing with all this down time. I have heard a rumor that I will be missing the entire tour, I can assure you that that is completely false. I am looking to join the tour around the 21st. That is the doctors orders, not mine. 

I hope everyone knows these crazy gossip websites make up stories to make money.  It leaves all of you in question when they spread ridiculous rumors. Only believe it if it comes directly from me or my family.  If it comes from somewhere else, then it probably isn't true. Now that being said, I want people to know that I am NOT bed ridden. I'm no longer contagious. I don't have to be a prisoner in my L.A. home. My management company is still trying to utilize this down time. That includes an upcoming photo shoot, meetings with song writers, listening to demos from all different studios and lots of late night movies!!!! (HEHE to occupy my time) I'm simply not allowed to talk. Please also understand that in the upcoming future there's going to be TONS of rumors and mean things that people say and do to try and bring me down. Sadly, that's just the way this business works. Just know that in the future I probably won't be able to clarify everything that is said in the media.

I hope that this has cleared up some stuff. I'm still dedicated to my fans and putting out the best album possible for all my fans. I love you all and please know that I would never intentionally miss idol shows so I can work on my own individual career. The idol tour is my first priority. I want to get back as soon as I can. I have not said one word in over a week an a half. Believe me, I would much rather be healthy than not. I love you all sooooo much and look forward to seeing the rest of you on tour. Again, I'm so sorry for the dates I have missed thus far. I feel deeply connected to all my fans and am working this week on continuing working on the fan mail. That is also very important to me. Much love to you all.

Wow...the 21st...not that that was the POINT, but still!

Thanks Kat for clearing stuff up, even though you shouldn't have to. We should all be dedicated enough to not need reassurance, but thanks anyways.

Wow...no talking for a week and a half...that must be hard, Kat...i guess when this is doen, you won't be able to shut up! LOL!

I'm so happy Kat has cleared that up, now maybe all those rumors can be set aside on here. Thanks for posting that Chad and thank you Kat for letting us know! I'm happy to hear she is getting better.

Oh, thanks so much to Chad for posting and to Kat for writing!! That certainly clears a lot of things up! I am sooo happy she has written so now hopefully the rumors stop, and we Kat fans can breathe a sigh of relief after not knowing what to believe for the past few days!

This is pretty much exactly the type of response from Kat I'd hoped to hear. It clears up a lot. I feel bad that she knows she'll be trashed by the media for this, but at least she's prepared for it. And she's telling us now that she can't be responding to this stuff all the time, so we're gonna have to trust her. Thanks for letting us know what's up, Kat.

Dear Kat, my Idol:

I am so sorry for the way some of my posts in the big speculation thread may have come off. I hope you understand why some of us were wanting the answers that you have now provided. Now we have them.

I'm glad you realized that the point had been reached where you had to say something--now you have, and it was enough. It's clear that you can't respond to everything--we get that. But I think that all of the gossip and internet garbage had reached such a pitch of negativity and smearing yesterday that things would have only gotten worse had you not made this statement.

Thank you so much for clarifying all of this, and I look forward to seeing you in Denver on September 5.

You are one kool kat e-mailing this update to Chad (and thanks Chad for posting)! I'm telling ya for the love of . . . those gossip columnists are a dreadful bunch. Take this time to really muse and find those special songs for your CD, I know it's going to be incredible! Congratulations on the photo shoot and everything else that is happening for you.

A little tidbit for you, I read somewhere that women speak on the average of 10,000 words a day (I believe on a daily basis it's 70% more than men), so when you can talk again . . . watch out girls on the bus - Kat will be chatting it up! But, don't talk too much as you want to keep your voice healthy for the rest of the tour. BTW - We've been talking about movies in your "Kat Chat" room recently, perhaps, we can send some recommendations to you.

Get rested and completely healthy before you join the tour, your fans just want you to get better. We are all praying and sending positive energy your way for a full and complete recovery.

I just really hope that all of those tabloids and their stupid "spies" would just stop and leave Kat alone. That's just the thing about the media... they will only write and show pictures of things to support their fabricated story. They will only show us what they want us to see, whether they may be true or not. "Kat looked pretty healthy"... she has laryngitis, did she 'sound' healthy? I highly doubt that the said 'spy' even got anywhere close to her.

I'm just really glad that Kat took the time to answer most of the rumors... hopefully this will stop the fans and others from doubting Kat.

Kat, thanks for your letter. I knew you weren't intentionally not on tour. Try not to let the gossips get you down. Your true fans are behind you.

I'm glad that you were still able to do some work as well as lounge around. I can't wait to see you in another magazine or hear your album. Take as much time as you need on your album. I'd rather you get it the way you want it than rush to get it out.
