Hey, Miuman--thanks for the rundown of events of what happened to you in Bridgeport. I managed to miss this thread the last several days, but can't believe people haven't responded to take advantage of this little primer of how to get after party passes.
Well, actually--it may be a primer of how to play up to security. That's not something I'd typically do and I was hoping there was some other method other than begging. Even though you didn't beg, having a security guy giving people sympathy passes is probably rare and won't happen again. They usually catch on to those type of things and only do it for special cases. Though I suppose if you tell them you sent something back--it could also help.
I doubt this will help any of us in the future, but it was interesting hearing about your own experience. Kat's recognition of people she's either seen on this site or met before is really amazing, isn't it? Her instant recognition of just about everybody from this site (when they met Kat during the tour) was astounding sometimes...and makes me think Kat sent out CIA spies after us to gather information about everybody.

So smile the next time you step into that public elevator.
That was smart thinking of you to move up to better seats during the show. I've never been able to get away with that--but all the front seats were heavily guarded during the Portland show. And it's always a good idea to do networking while at the show.
That's really the true key to getting any kind of passes: Networking. Who you know and whose friend who knows the uncle of the cousin who knows the brother of the head of the venue helps too.
Thanks again for taking the time to write an extensive review. We'd all like to see your pics and media here when you get the time...
