A number of you are looking at the dialidol.com scores and getting nervous. I just wanted to tell you there probably isn't anything to be especially nervous about! This is because the phone lines of both contestants have been kept saturated tonight, meaning that both are getting about the same number of votes/minute. Well, dialidol is scoring on the basis of busy signals received. Now this is a valid perdictor of votes, but it loses validity once the lines saturate. In other words, you can say that one contestant is getting more votes if they have a busier line- up to the point where the phone line maxes out (around 2M calls/hr). After that point is reached, adding more calls will make the line busier without increasing the votes recieved! Dialidol worked great at predicting the bottom 3 earlier in the competitition because the bottom contestants never kept their phone lines saturated. So it all comes down to the text votes. And we wouldn't know until 9:55pm ET Wednesday.  |

Let's hope so! This seems like a good theory and I'll keep my fingers crossed that you're correct! I am from Canada and was unable to vote using Skype, so all I did was pray that she will win! Good luck Kat! I love you! |

I won't submit to Taylor winning until it's in front of my eyes... even then, I would take a nap and wake up to see if the spasmatic guy on crack won. |

I used dialidol.com and my cell phone last night to call. At the end of the night the final tally on dialidol was:
Kat 210,812---yipee!!!!
Taylor 166, 351
It did show Taylor receiving more calls with busy signals, but Katharine received the most votes.
No matter the final results.....Katharine is my idol5!!! |

I voted my fingers off til I was brain dead after 4 hours. Between power texting and doubling up with the phone, I had to have put out over 2000 votes; Great way to feel part of the outcome. Wish I could have been involved in the roses but red votes are just as nice. Hope she wins tonight. |

Ugh I'm praying so hard that she wins. How could TAYLOR HICKS be the american idol?? I still dont understand that!! I would never buy his cd in a thousand years.
I'm so sick of people saying taylor was going to win before they even sung, thats so annoying. not to mention all the comments last night.
UGH. I really want her to win SO BADLY. |
