I just came flying back into the office to post this. I wonder how many of us will do that? Sounds like they're going to be pushing her this season. They've already used her in a lot of promos for the show.

haha I noticed the double posting already... I think Kat will be the standout along with Chris for the Idols they promote. I saw that Chris was featured in the "want more Idol music?" promo at the beginning of the episode's commericals.

They're the most marketable and have the best music for radioplay.

haha!! i was like "wait...i know that song" it just didnt hit me that it was on tv and not coming from my computer or whatever...and then it hit me, "OMG THATS NOT UR GIRL!" and my sister and my mom looked at me like i was on drugs. lol

I was so pumped to hear Kat being promoted on AI6!!  And as I have posted before "Not UR Girl" is my favorite song on the album so I was doubly excited!!!  I really think if the songs on Kat's CD get the needed exposure they WILL sell themselves.

ALSO... did you notice how all the girl contestants sang "Until you Come Back to Me" for the judges during Hollywood rounds?!?! And the guys sang "Have you Ever Really Loved a Woman" which of course my main man Chris did last season!!! Clearly they wanted to see how this years contestants compare to last years best!!! ;)

Hahaha.... I'm working on that but she's not buying it!!!!  She only likes her SOTR type stuff.... shes into that type of music but not really the modern pop.

You are SOOO right! I totally forgot Chris sang the guys song as well!

 

This is pretty cool!!! I'm really hopeful that AI is going to be promoting Kat as well as Chris now!!

I jumped up off the couch and my mom was yet again looking at me like I had 10 heads LOL

Same thing happened at the Virgin Mega Store in Times Square .... standing there hearing something that sounded sooo familiar.... BAM.... they were playing OPEN TOES throughout the whole store.

I love that they are playing different songs all over!!!!

Wow that's crazy about the final Hollywood round songs. I obviously recognized Kat's right away... it was such a flashback, and I wonder if any of the judges remembered the lovely girl who took their breath away when she hit the Top 12 and made a strong statement.

I forgot about Chris' song but that's really coincidental, don't you think? Or maybe the producers somehow planned it? Obviously they had a set list of songs to choose from.

I agree... it's not the same, there is no standout yet.  I picked Kat in the auditions (somehow) and have only moved her more since... this time it's like they're just Kat wannabes

No one can duplicate Katharine McPhee.  People may come close, but no one can compare!

I really really really wish they would release Not Ur Girl and Home as the next 2 singles.  Not Ur Girl is the PERFECT dance song and Home is the PERFECT ballad to satisfy those that wanted to hear her pipes and vocal range.

This was just so cool to see. Coin over on the AI boards posted that his Fox station has so many calls about the song that they said it on the news! Don't know if he was joking as he left for bed before we could ask him but that would be so cool if it was true!!!

Hey I have been saying all along that NotUr Girl has to be the next single and the response tonight makes it even more obvious to me that it really does need to be the one.

I could not agree with you more. Those are the exact 2 I would release next. Followed by Everywhere I go and then Open Toes.
