On another note, I think the seating arrangement for concerts allows for considerably less occupancy than the near 20,000 capacity for, say, a basketball game. Does anyone know what the capacity is for the concert?

I have another idea!!

Chad, I think someone on here should make a montage of Katharine's journey through American Idol, and whoever goes to that concert can give it to whoever is in charge of putting performances up on that screen. They should do it while Katharine is on stage singing. Then whoever is in charge of music can dye it down, and then they can put Katharine's montage on the big screen. It would be a complete surprise for her!!! She might even cry.

Imagine it. Katharine comes onstage to a sea of glowing orange.

this is a fantastic idea, Chad. I can just imagine Katharine coming out and the light guy turning off the lights and the arena will be glowing orange! someone HAS to get this on video! although if the lights were out you wouldn't be able to see anything,haha..but if someone can get the entire thing on video, maybe even pan the audience so that everyone can see what all their hard work has done. keep going mcphans, do it for katharine!

Your ideas are nice.  I think it will be special for Kat since she will be in her home town.  The idea of the glow sticks (another great idea by Chad) shows Kat our love....it's coming from her fans that adore her.

Don't feel bad. Your ideas are great! But I think they're too big to handle in such a short time. Communication and logistics are very important in making a project successful. We don't have control over everything and that's the hardest part. Even this project is considered huge when you think about all the things that need to be done, such as pricing, collecting funds, ordering, picking up, getting approval from site officials, and distributing. We need a lot of manpower to do this. That's why we are proud to say everyone of us is a part of the project.

I would see if katharine mother has friends to help passing out the sticks, of course keeping it a secret, I have been to stables center, its is huge.

Wonder if the students from Kat's former high school would be interested in passing out the sticks.  If there is enough extra cash perhaps buttons to wear for those ppl passing out the glow sticks.
