Looks like you read my PM over at the 'AI' board about another great fansite over the rainbow.

Yes, I recognize you from that 'other place', which is what we have to refer to describing this place there. Some people started spelling it backwards (moc.snafenirahtak)--but the mods caught on to that and zapping threads and accounts when someone mentions it. So, it's covert on the 'AI' board. But it doesn't stop me from trying to get people to come here. Most people know what I'm referring to when I use the famous term in single quotes.

Welcome to the board--and I hope you'll post here regularly. To be honest, the 'AI' board has gone downhill faster than a car without brakes on a San Francisco street. There's a few people I still admire over there as writers and starting thoughtful subjects, but it's slowly diminishing in quality day by day. As soon as a few people over there start posting here regularly (Dremomma, Kenneth, among a few), then I'll be here 100%. In the meantime, I imagine both of us will just post at either place on any particular day.

Yep, the emoticons here are much better for those of us who have more than just seven personalities.

Welcome AIAF! I'm always delighted to see old timers from the AI boards migrating here. Being an old timer myself I can tell you that this will be a new environment for you. The depth and contents of the threads are deeper and more thoughtful than most you found in the AI board. And people are very respectful and friendly to one another. Also, our focus here is Katharine McPhee alone, noone else. That's why you won't find much discussions about other contestants. Bashings are non-existence as they are strictly prohibited. So, enjoy and post more!

Haha.... I'm the originator of the term "moc.snafenirahtak". I always use it to refer to this site. Let me go check to see if my account had been zapped or not.

Greg, I always like your writing. But no offense, sometimes I do catch your carelessness (maybe typo). The word above is brakes, not breaks. Hope you don't mind.

Looks like I had a Freudian slip there...and needed a break from posting.

I don't mind at all, katidol. I probably wouldn't have caught that right away--and now you can see what happens when I write in a hurry and not fully awake. I always hate when that happens, but it may come from burnout of maybe writing a little too much at certain intervals of the day.

Anyway, I did an edit to fix the problems. There was some other oddball mistakes in that post that seemed to come out of nowhere.

Maybe there really is such a thing as a break on a San Francisco street...

Even Tolstoy wouldn't catch up with all my word count when combining 'AI's posts AND the ones here. But great things can be said in a small amount of words--so don't think you need to write a lot to be substantive.

The 'AI' board has turned into bored summer break teens who like to start role-playing threads of Kat McDonalds and so on. But that may be exaggerating a bit. There's still some excellent threads started there with thoughtful ideas that trigger me to reply with something meaningful. I need topics that inspire me to post--and I'm finding it more here now. The board's technical difficulties here might affect me psychologically a little, but I hope I can still be as lucid.

Anyway, your contributions are always great, AIAF, so feel welcome here. I really hope the exodus from the 'AI' board can begin while the tour's going on. In the end, I think the 'AI' board will just self-destruct in time from the 'on-the-fence' fans and people who come in just to raise hell. The true fans need to come here--despite a few topics over there that probably should be started here too.

Hopefully talk again soon...

Here, you definitely won't find threads like "Who posts last loves Katharine the most", or "Who do you love more, Kat or Taylor?"
