Some of you may know me from other boards.  Gregoriancant invited me to join here and share in the celebration of Katharine.

Those who do know me know that I enjoy writing about Katharine and sharing my thoughts with fellow Kat Phans.  Good to see you here.

KatFan49, glad to finally see you here. I've always enjoyed your posts on the official boards. I also salute your heroic efforts to make peace with the fanbases. That was one of the most wonderful things I saw over there.

Katfan49..I really love your writing on ai board,you know..Nice posts.. But sumtimes i still feel bad about that board.. There're some people who still post negativity bout kat.. That's why i love this board most than the other.. But sometimes i still go to ai board and look for your thread thou'..You should write more often for us..Haha.Lol

Thank you for your kind words. I don't recognize you from there, but I'm sure we'll get to be friends over here.  You're right about the negativity - some people just can't let it go, posting the same things over and over and over.

I've been on a crusade to get all the best posters from the 'AI' board to frequent here instead.

Glad you finally made it through, KF! I saw your PM over at the 'AI' board earlier and wondered if AOL has something to do with that. There used to be an AOL block of some confirmation emails here--but I think it's fixed now.

You're one of the most articulate posters over there at the 'AI' mess...but I don't think it's appreciated as much as it could be. Here, most members truly appreciate long, thought-out opinions and ruminations on things. The 'AI' board is mostly turning into a grade school playground, despite some occasional positive fluctuations in quality. My time there is lessening every day, even though there's STILL a few there I like that are worth going in to respond to. Once I can get them here to stay (along with Dremomma) then we'll have everybody in one truly great place. I truly think Katharinefans will be the ultimate Kat board in time...and I'll lobby for it.

Yes, I've liked your avatar myself. Is that an illustration from one of the original L. Frank Baum books? A lot of people who've never read the books are surprised at how different the plot points are from the movie.  I have some later edition reprints of the original books--but I've never known if the original editions had colour illustrations.

With you here now--we've just created the Long Post Ring.  Kenneth is already here--but just imagine if I can manage to get Polyphon to post on this board. Maybe the Ring can be renamed the Moderately Long Post Ring just to be on the safe side...

Hello, KatWhisperer. I know I've said it before, but I love that name! You've been a good friend through all the peace efforts, and I've enjoyed trying to "make peace" even though it was always an uphill battle. I do think we made some progress.

Good to be here.  The avatar image is from a painting by an artist that showed in the gallery, Scott Gustafson. It is a small part of a larger painting "The Wizard of Oz", based on the original book, not the movie. Scott is a wonderful artist and a true prince of a man. He paints images of fairy tales mostly, and illustrates children's books.

I look forward to a long, pleasant and contributing stay here.

Hello, my friend.

I'm not sure what happened, but it wasn't AOL - the last time I tried them was about ten years ago using the 1000 free hours they used to offer, running 4 different providers on my machine at the same time to see who wouldn't bump me off on a regular basis. Looks like they lost!

See the post above for info on avatar.  Yours is so "southern belle beautiful" - I love that look.

The Long Post Ring - I'm honored.  The MLPR would be for those times when a paragraph or two would do.
