Hi everyone......A HUGE Kat fan here, just joined the site and was told about it by my good friend Maddie.......
I'm a former radio deejay of 24 years and been in the music industry and radio broadcast industry for over 40 years, live in Tampa, Florida, married, a grandfather and a very young outlook and atttitude and we are truly very big fans of Kat's and expect her star to rise higher than any other idol!
Looking forward to my visits here!

welcome Art, you will be living the life of luxury here now, as i said before the difference here then the other place is that you will sooner or later feel as if you have died and gone to heaven, such a difference here. and so many interesting articles of interests here, that i just know you will blend in well. so again, welcome, see ya round like a doughnut as they used to say back when.

Welcome. You'll find that this forum has everything you need to help satisfy your McPheever. Not only that, but there are some really wonderful people here, and we wipe each other's brow, fetch a glass of water and provide ice packs when the McPheever gets the best of us. Of course, sometimes you want to bask in the overwhelming heat, and we won't get in your way. We'll just nod and say, "It's OK, he's just delirious."

I have many relatives and friends in the Tampa/St. Pete area - a beautiful part of the country. My wife and I, living in California at the time, were married in Tampa and have the memories of a wonderful honeymoon spent sailing the bay and the gulf, homeporting ourselves in one of your fabulous marinas.

Maddie, thanks so much, not sure how often I will get in here, but I know I will enjoy the experience and am sure to run into a few people I know...thanks again for alerting me to this!

Hey, Art! You were one of the ones I was going to go back to the 'AI' board for to convince coming over here. But I figured other people would try to persuade some of the best posters to come to KMF sooner or later.

Yes, you were one of the sane members over there at the 'AI' board who'd had a lot of years experience in the entertainment industry. I enjoyed seeing your insights into the radio business and entertainment world in general. It helped get a better idea of the inner mechanics of the industry when discussing what Kat may face in the future. Also, your insights on the radio industry opened a lot of eyes after we tried to emailing all the radio stations about Kat's single and usually got back "We can't play it..." responses. I can see now that the radio industry has taken quantum leaps from where it was when you were in it.

KMF already has a few wise elders here--and we can always use more. The best things about being here is that all ages blur and we're all of the same mindset. I'm in my early 30's myself, but I think we're all a bunch of giddy teens here on some days. That even happens when discussing such minutae as Kat's broken foot.

Anyway, you may remember me from the 'AI' board. I left there for the same reasons you state--though may go back soon to give an official 'farewell' notice...despite not posting there in weeks.

KMF is strictly Kat talk that isn't salacious or like a Harvard debate with people who continuously and mindlessly bash. It's a different frame of mind--but one that we've truly craved all along. We still have much variety here though in the way of extreme seriousness and wacky comedy (see satire forum).

Hope to see you post again soon...

WOW!!!....What a super nice welcome from you all, I really appreciate it and hope I can add a few things here and there when I pop in.......
I also appreciate the kinbd words about my background and what I did for so long, it was a great time in the business and I enjoyed every moment of it, but like everything else it has changed dramatically, especially the radio broadcast industry, sure not like the good old days!!!.....
Nice to know that age doesn't enter into things here and that regardless of age we all have one thing inb common.....Kat!!!!
Have a great TGIF and I'll try to catch you all later, right now my desk is piled high with work!!
