Thanks for this! It was great. Kat sure can dance! I wish they had left in more of her dance moves in the actual video. I knew she was good but WOW, I didn't know just how good until I watched this whole thing! She improvises very well and OMG, I got exhausted just watching how much work was involved. Very, very impressive.

WOW!Very impressive insight to just what is involved in making a 3 minute music video!I too was very impressed with Kat's improvisational skills;especially with those poses in the black dress.She is so intuitive and original with every take and totally looks like a throwback to a '40's Hollywood star!Great to see all the original dance moves that were edited from the final video.What is ovious is the pleasure it must be to work with Kat..with her energy,spirit and work ethic...heard her say to the director,"Anything you want I can do!".One thing I'd like to know is the actual job title and description of the guy directing that wind fan on Kat.

Collette, did you try to stream the MOV file from the hosting site linked in the post from IDF? It is a 40+minute video, after all, and any YouTube version likely would be ~ 45 MB as well. I tried to put it up twice for streaming on GoFish (no length limit there) but, alas, I think GoFish has some serious issues these days. YouTube limits video length to 10 minutes, so any posting there would necessitate breaking it into five separate pieces. Moreover, I don't have any tools to chop MOV video into pieces. If your problem is bandwidth (ie dialup connection), then what I'm working on currently, a DivX Stage 6 version of this video wouldn't be of any help because it would only be bigger (conversion bloating) than the current file.

I made two avi conversions of this file, one for YouTube and one for Stage 6. The Stage 6 file has an upsized frame size (up to 640X480) and along with the bloat from the MOV conversion it ended up a rather portly 324 MB. It looks decent and streams nicely for broadband users, oh, you can also download it if you want it. well, that was a revelation. The IDF links didn't work for me so it took 3 hours to watch a 40 minute video. These seem to be perfect for some reason. Thanks CRB. That was the best thing that's happened to me all week. They could have had 3 separate videos out of all that footage, and we'd have loved every one of them. And I love the way she messed with Eric Fellows ("I do not want him in my video!" and then giving him that little bump and grind after the closet scene). But don't you kind of wonder if she didn't wind up saying "Y'know, I used to just love that song, but after hearing it 500 times in two days.... Bl-e-e-c-c-h-h-h!" It's my 500th Love Story, Started out my fave, Now it makes me rave! That was my 501st Love Story, The song I really wanted to be a single Now it's making my ears tingle-- Woo hoo hoo

Thanks for the download, the Stage 6 file which is super to watch on a DiVX player. This video is by far the best vid I've seen of Kat performing in a long time. Kat is sure "working hard for the money!" I luved seeing her working with all these creative artists, directors, actors, crew to producing her great video. Yeah, she probably did tire of singing 'LS' time after time and I wonder how many takes they needed for that scene of Kat crawling down on the table!! Thank you so much, CRB!

If you don't have 'Love Story' running through your head already--you will now after watching this vid in its entirety. Thanks to all the KMF media gurus for finding this. It was smart of Roger W. to make this similar to a hodgepodge of documentary footage to give you that "you are there" type of approach. Nevertheless, it might be a tad too repetitive in a few places. But that's to give you the realities of what you have to do when filming a music video. Now that Kat's doing acting in films--she's probably finding out even more (as she promptly becomes bored) how many takes you have to do to appease some directors who have OCD. As far as I know, that ended with Stanley Kubrick...though lots of directors want to be as sickly perfectionist as Kubrick was. Fortunately, this director only forced Kat to do some of those scenes with the mic half-a-dozen times rather than 253 times. Just imagine having to hear the song all day and likely hearing the song in your head as you sleep. That all depends on how much earworm songs affect you. Some other interesting things in this: Proof of how natural Kat is in pretending to have a conversation with someone or a group of people. A lot of people probably wonder if actors you see chatting in the background in restaurant scenes are actually talking with one another. In this scene, it appears they really were talking about (something). Most of the time, I think they just mime talking to one another. A bizarre process (just try gesticulating and moving your mouth silently without cracking up laughing when you look your fellow actor in the eye)--but it'd be interesting to hear the audio of what Kat and the others were saying at the table. Kat's arm movements when in that Parisian beret were brilliant too. Her sense of choreography is vastly underrated. Here, Kat invents interesting and subtle little arm movements presumably created on the spot. Looks like her character in that guise was sitting on a therapist's couch too. Too bad they didn't use the shot of her lounging on that couch as she does provocatively in one pose that never made it in. While I preferred the EPK of Kat in the studio better--I love seeing unedited behind-the-scenes footage like this. Kat obviously has the tireless persona of ten Kats. P.S.--I was mistaken and she never came close to damaging that cake when doing the table crawl!

Thanks so much once again CRB! -and with a choice of ways for us to see it. It was great to see so much that was not included in the video. I loved seeing all of the dancing and the creativity she showed in the various scenes. Where in the world does she get all of that energy to do all of the retakes! It was probably a fun and tiring two days for her! LINDA
