ihavemcpheever posted this at IDF.  Not much Katharine, but what's there is adorable as usual. The next time someone says she uses Chihuahuas as fashion accessories, tell them to watch this.

It deals with California's prop 2 dealing with treatment of factory farm animals, nothing actually bloody or gruesome, but I still don't really like looking at stuff like this, since I'm already convinced. You could cut to 1:29 if you don't like looking at animals stuffed into cages.

katharine is not actually in that video. that was just a few different celebs saying they support it but no katharine! although im so for this prop. i cant stand animal cruelty and i really think that it is one of the worst things. so glad kat supports something like this!

I'm neither Californian nor a factory farm owner, so the measure doesn't affect me, but I'm a little wary of this proposal. It sounds benign enough, but these initiatives that sound warm and fuzzy, have little effect on most people, but force great change on a small minority are kind of a cheap way for people to feel good about themselves without requiring any personal sacrifice. I'd want to hear the other side's view before deciding. To me, it's like when San Fran banned the sale of live chickens for slaughter - since the ban only affected Chinese and other Asians who prefer fresher meat. If people really want to do something for animals, put it to a statewide vote to ban the consumption of all animals, and let's see how far that goes...

Regardless, this doesn't alter my Katphandom.

Just saw a recent poll showing people in favor of the proposition by a 7-to-1 ratio, so California voters are listening to Kat's pleas... ;)
