Since I guess I have something others don't have apparently.  And I finally figured out how to do this.  Not that it was hard after I actually sat down and tried.  Anyway, here's the clip of Katharine on the Princess Cruise that includes about 30 seconds of her talking to the camera about being the "Crown Princess of Idol" since she was the last girl standing, etc, etc.  Then about 10 seconds of her doing the National Anthem, then about 20 seconds of "SOTR".

I guess a lot of people saw this over at the 'AI' board (I remember the stupidity from some in misconstruing that 'Princess' line she said)--though I never saw it. I figured all we'd get was "Oh say, can you see, by the dawn's early light...", but she sounded fantastic. Too bad they didn't show the whole thing since that last note in the NA is the real test of a great singer. Cutting right to Capt. Stubing (Gavin MacLeod) instead was a real editing error. Oh well, it's good to see him again, too, as a representative of that cruise line.

Kat's assertion of going on that cruise line I hope will come true eventually once she's available for vacation time again. Though I don't think she did that when she snuck away for vacation in June. Besides, after the steering mishap with that ship recently, maybe she'd rather go on another ship that wasn't christened by Martha Stewart.

It's just amazing to me that Kat's vocal purity on 'OtR' is even better NOW than it was when she did it in June. It just shows how much these songs become a part of her soul.

Now we have to campaign to hear her sing the complete NA somewhere. I'm sure she hit that last note beautifully--but it'd be nice if all the fans could hear the evidence.

Thank you!  I only wish they finished playing the National Anthem. I really wanted to hear it... Oh well, maybe she should do it at a Lakers or Clippers game during the start of the NBA season. That would be awesome!

Yeah, I'm just hoping that the Idol people will pull enough strings at FOX to let her do the anthem at the World Series.  That would be perfect timing...late October right before her album comes out.  Yeah, I know Taylor & Kellie's come out the same day but come on...out of the three...seriously, who do you really think would do the best job with the Star Spangled Banner?

Oh, yeah her "I guess you could say I'm the "Crown Princess" of American Idol" line.  Hello people...the ship is called the CROWN PRINCESS.  She's trying to be funny.  Sorry if she's just a little too quick-witted for some.

I always thought high notes through the "the rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in air" part of the anthem was the vocal acid test for an anthem singer. I don't think many idol top ten idol finalists would have to much trouble with it, they all can belt it out pretty well.

I actually saw Elliots rendition of the Stars Bangled Banner on the NBA finals and thought that he tried to do to much with it, personally, I prefer a fairly straight foward rendition.
