There's no voting on ITunes.  You vote with your $9.99 for the album or 99 cents for the single.

However, the good news is....the album is #2 behind Norah.  But 'Over It' has moved all the way up to #21!  And it's #7 among Pop songs.

Interesting info about the ranking from 'OI' on iTunes, Joe. Over at Rhapsody, 'OI' is #62--and 'Love Story' is up twenty points higher (as of yesterday anyway). I started a thread about it in Kat Chat, but I don't know how relevant Rhapsody is in the overall sales picture. It appeared to me that 'Love Story' was gaining some momentum as being more popular than 'OI' some places.

Did you see where 'LS' was ranking on iTunes? Seeing where it is there would probably help get a better picture whether people prefer that song over 'OI.' I have sort of a feeling that some people are going beyond 'OI' and finding more interest in 'LS' and other songs. Not that 'OI' won't do well likely...but I think 'LS' may rank higher overall as a single if it's going to be the second single.

I plan to get a review up on iTunes soon--even though I have to get an account set up first. Who knew you need to set up shop there with a credit card just to write reviews? Well, they're better protected that way than Amazon is who seem to live on the edge when it comes to people sending in customer reviews...

Greg, on iTunes, OI is #8 on the Pop charts and #21 on the overall charts. LS is #34 on the Pop charts. She actually has nine, yes nine tunes on the Pop charts when I checked. Fun to see that as no one else has nine on the entire list of 100, Timberlake has eight. Of her nine on the Pop charts, here is the order:

That's strange there's a dichotomy there between those who prefer 'OI' and 'LS' between music services. But that's incredible enough that Kat has nine songs in the Top 100 on iTunes. I think it's close on Rhapsody--though not nine. It's more about seven in their Top 200. It's probably updated now, however, and may have nine by tomorrow...

A note on this...this is just among Pop songs.  It isn't the overall rankings.  Over It is the only song that appears on the overall Top 100 songs.  Still...this is very impressive.  Can someone tell me how to find the Pop chart.  All I can see is the main Top 100.

ya i noticed that...i bought it 2 more times. come on everyone it's 99 cents just buy it once or twice more cuz if we can get kat into the top 10 songs on itunes 'over it' and her album will blow up. WE GOTTA GET IT UP!!! just buy it a few extra times..think of our girl!

ok well i decided something. i have a gift card to itunes for $25 and should i buy the album once and use the rest of the money on over it? or should i buy 2 albums and rest on over it, or all on over it. lol what would be the best..someone tell me!

Spree, why do you say that? If the thinking goes that what drives album sales is a successful single, then wouldn't you want to push OI as high as you could and get its momentum going. That will inevitably drive more people to buy OI based on its high position, then get jazzed and buy the entire album.

i just redeemed the gift card, and so far i have bought 6 of 'over it' not sure what i should do with the rest!! ahhhhh...it probably won't even do anything for her song except give it a few extra bucks. i think i'll buy one more album and spend the rest on over it..ya?
