In next weeks issue of Steppin' Out magazine, Katharine McPhee sits down with Chaunce Hayden and tells why she decided not to appear on the Howard Stern Show.

Chaunce Hayden: Why did you turn down the Howard Stern Show?

Katharine McPhee: Howard Stern is a pig. I would never do his show. Why would I do a show that degrades women the way Howard does? No thank you.

Way to go Kat. She is absolutely right Howard is a pig. I admire her so much for standing by her convictions. I hope her management respects her believes and never books her on his show.

Kat is usually quite diplomatic when discussing other celebs,so she must feel very strongly about Stern to characterize him as being in the swine family!! !!This misogynist has been degrading women on his TV show for years!Agree with beret 7,his success is indicative of the moral decay in this country.....he is a dirt bag and a smut peddler!!Hope he overdoses on viagra and crashes into a wall!!

Agreed, never heard her be that, well, she even says Paris Hilton is sweet. I guess she shot his love ship down, didn't she?

 beret.  Well it is the year of the pig so maybe she meant it as a compliment. j/k   I have Sirius and I admit I tune into his show on occasion (to help pass the time while I'm at work :ph34r:), and I've heard him talk about Katharine a couple times.  He's not a fan of her or her music, he just thinks she's hot (duh).  I'm sure he's gonna go on a rant come Monday, but hopefully the negative reaction of him and his huge fan base is outweighed by the positive reaction of people who look up to Katharine as a role model, and of parents who pay close attention to what their kids are up to.

I dont get the balloon thing at all. What am I missing? Anyway, the guy is a swine. A multi-millionare swine. Beret is right about this one, he makes his big bucks by simply being an obnoxious pig. However, someone is listening! He is a no talent big mouth. Heres another reality........look at all the press Anna Nicole Smith is getting, Helloooooo what did she ever do that is worthy of all this publicity. The decay of society. BTW, Beret..........if you hold the channell locks, Ill squeeze.

Apparently Phee, you've not seen Howard's late night TV show;on for years here in NY!He was like the Marquis de Sade,always producing grotesque,sadistic acts/contests revolving around scantalily clad women.The fact that this show was perpetrated for so many years and that sirius radio is paying him big bucks..is evidence that there is a huge audience for this offensive stuff!Now add internet porno and predators and there's the moral decay!!And yes,appropriately for Howard,this is the YEAR of the PIG!

Her management would never have the chance to book her on the show.  After speaking out publicly, she will never again be invited and she simply wouldn't show up.  Howard wasn't kind to Katharine when he interviewed M. Loaf about their duet either.  He said she was fat.  Ewwwwwww

Although I completely agree with her, I do find it surprising that she would say so out loud (i.e., to the public). She's usually pretty good about the "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all" business. I guess "pig" was the nicest thing she could think of! lol
