I had a little mini debate over on IDF earlier about Katharine's wardrobe for her concerts.  Someone suggested she show more skin.  I disagreed, saying it's just fine the way it is, and that it should be about the music, not image, etc.  But it got me thinking, and I have to admit I think she could spruce it up a bit beyond the jeans and conservative tops.  Don't get me wrong, Kat in jeans is all I need to get by, but I prefer the dress she wore at the beginning of her radio tour.  I think it's more appropriate for the occasion.

Ok, here are the pics.  Needless to say she still looks cute, but is it too casual?  What do you think?

I love the pictures! Kat looks so cute. I like her wardrobe! I especially like the second pic for some reason. Thanx Melissa for taking them and thanx Bigshady for bringing them here!

No it's not too casual and if some people want to see more skin.... well in that last shot Kat is bending down and showing cleavage (Just noting). But like you I agree, it's about the music but of course the image does add on to it. But you want to have a good image because you can't just sing a song and call that a good performance. A good performance involves everything: Song, the look, the attitude and the energy on stage. But Kat doesn't have to worry about that because she has those points already on her sets so she's all good to go every time. For me it doesn't really matter what she wears because she always looks good in whatever she wears. The only thing I wouldn't recommend wearing is a sweater because then that leaves no room for imagination.

Thanks for posting up the pics, they're very good and much better than mine, I envy you for having a good camera LOL.

Edit: That last shot, is that when she almost fell as she stated in her new video blog?

I think her wardrobe for Oklahoma was perfect. When you perform in the "BIBLE BELT" of the south, you don't dress to sexy.Just by dressinmg casual, you still see she is sexy

I just figured that was how performers dressed at this type of concert. Not that I know anything about it. But I think she should stand out from her backup singers/dancers, whatever she's wearing. They can be in jeans while she's in something glittery, or spruce them up and put her in something more conservative. Actually I've always been rather fond of that dress she wore in the first two concerts. It was sexy but fairly understated and different from the girls. You don't need to show much skin when you waggle your derriere in something that clingy.

I like Kat in jeans because she looks great in jeans. . .but maybe something a little more glitzy for a top. She is lucky in that she has a great figure and can wear a lot of different styles. I think a simple t-shirt is a little TOO simple for a concert.

I think she should look different than her backup singers. I really liked it on the AI tour when she wore the long black dress. Even though it didn't show off her great bod, she did stand out from the others and she looked classy. I liked her in the long white dress that she wore for the first couple of AI concerts. I'm sure she could find a few outfits that are just a little more outstanding and yet are comfortable and easy to wear on the road. Dresses would be good sometimes or glitzy tops sometimes. Surprise us, Kat! We love to see you looking smashing.

Yeah, I think she should wear something different from her backup singers/dancers. More color would be better IMO.

Didn't somebody say Crystal left to start a family? Truth? Rumor? The original 3 were just backup singers and these gals are being introduced as former backup dancers (I thought) for JT and somebody else I can't remember. I'm speculating a lot about things I can't half remember.  Besides, one of them had a chihuahua and since I didn't see Nena on the bus, that may have been one of the stipulations. Most celebs have want lists with stuff like fresh fruit, champagne, and someplace to plug in the hookah in the dressing room. Katharine just wants Now-n-Laters and a Chihuahua.

I waited to vote.  I needed to give it some more thought.  But after the Stuff magazine pics came out I voted a resounding SEX IT UP!   Hey, if she's Ok with it I'm more than Ok with it!   Just look at the buzz it's created.  Sure it doesn't focus on the music, but more and more people will sit up and take notice, and that will hopefully lead more people to become interested and check out her music.  Let's face it, at this point she's not lighting up the charts.  Yes there will be some backlash, but the positives will far outway the negatives in the long run IMO.  Besides, she looks so damn HOTT it'd be a shame not to share that with the world, lol!
