That is only 10 miles from where I grew up. Very tacky place, Niagara Falls. I had my first drink in a bar there when I was 16. Used to fish for toxic salmon in the Niagara river just a few miles below the falls. The falls is totally at the mercy of the power plants, it can be shut right down if need be. In fact it is ever few years for "maintenance" - removing the rocks below the US falls and shoring up with concrete and rebar the horseshoe falls so it doesn't loose through erosion it's famous shape. Still, all that said, it is still a spectacular sight. There is the one spot near the falls that everyone goes to, I'm sure Katharine must have stood there too at some point today. I mean, it's Niagara Falls, you don't go there and not see it.
Fun facts: My 4th grade teacher committed suicide by jumping from this spot, the summer after she had me in her class but I don't think it was my fault. One of my best friends in high school's father did the same thing10 years later. It's a Niagara Peninsular thing I guess.

I was like yes american idol back here and up front. The smile on my face was rediculas, but I went up and asked Kat for her autograph on the newly bought mag and I told her i was kinda nervous. So she wrote You don't have to be Nervous, hehe I was gunna ask her about Carrie but blanked cuz well thats what happens to me when i meet celebs i have a massive brain fart lol. Anywho So yea this was more of a McPhee moment but I wanted to share it with ya'll.
Can you imagine being a big Katharine fan in Ontario and thinking that Katharine is in California, 2500 miles away and then finding out she is right there where you work???

Soooo....a very small field of contestants tonight in the arrivals category, but it's nice to see Kat winning by a whisker:

Yeah, 22 year old girl, runner up in American Idol, taking the mickey out of "The Voice of God", love it, our girl is so sassy and spirited.
