Catch Kat in The House Bunny in theaters nationwide NOW! fandango.com
I just happened to register the domain kadyfans.com last month, and I'm seriously considering putting up a site. What do you guys think? I could use some help with blends, etc, and of course I'll need moderators, and , of course, members too!
Boldly, I am a Kady Malloy fan!!
(But of course, still a fan of others)
I'd like to get a couple of her songs that were available for sale till she went on Idol. They have clips on Myspace and they are really pretty good. I'd join that site Bill. I am not really interested in this season or the show this year, I have my Idols< but I do like her.
Unwanted and Nobody Knows are great songs.

YES, KADY MALLOY, YES !!
The beautiful and talented Kady Malloy.....the vocal impressionist, singer, and Top 24 contestant of American Idol Season 7. Green-eyed, blonde, age 18, with a gorgeous figure from Houston, TX. Yes, the Kady Malloy in whom Simon Cowell is very well pleased. She got pipes!
Kady Malloy, My Immortal
You are certainly entitled to your opinion, dark angel, as I am. Thanks.
I'm reserving my dedication until I get a chance to hear them all sing a couple of times
Bill, have you put up the new site yet? I seriously think you should.
Yup Groucho, you said it!
There are many pretty girls with great pipes....then there's our one-of-a-kind Kat!
Now which blond is that again? I almost thought Alaina Whitaker was her doppelganger there at one point...but the jury's out...
Well, I didn't know much about Kady Malloy until just last night (I paid little attention to the auditions)--and I think she's probably experiencing the mistake of over-confidence right now. Even though the contestants are in sequester--I'm sure they're getting plenty of cell calls telling them about all the press they're getting. Because the early faves are Malloy and Kristy-Lee Cook--it brings on that mistaken notion that they have it in the bag. They obviously have a lot to learn about the twists and turns of this show. At least they'll get an education...albeit the hard way.
Maybe after Simon compared Malloy to a pencil--it'll put her into psychological shock and realize how vulnerable she is. I'm surprised people like her haven't caught onto the formula of the show and behave in the right way rather than a naive person giving knee-jerk reactions to everything Simon says or the situation in general. Maybe Kady has her own manipulative path she's trying to take--but you can't make yourself appear to be cocky. Then again, you never know if the public may take a liking to it. It's oddball, yes, yet some obvious behavior goes right over the heads of some people. For others who try hard and are truly genuine--they get besieged with criticism (i.e. Kat in '06).
By the way, interesting that Malloy is a recording studio assistant. She probably understands what sounds good and what doesn't. She does have a pretty good quality to her vocal timbre--perhaps outdone a little by Whitaker mentioned above.
At least if the singing thing doesn't work out--she could do voice work for movies or TV. That's about as lucrative as a professional singing career nowadays...
I like Kady. I like a few of them this year. I have a favorite, but I'm not going to completely dedicate all my time to one person this year, because there's a few that deserve to be the American Idol. I'd join the site and help with anything you needed help with Bill.
Decision to choose between 2 talents - now a personal crisis for me
KADY MALLOY: Christina Aguilera meets Kelly Clarkson and the Pussycat Dolls.
KRISTY LEE COOK: Brooke Shields meets LeAnn Rimes and Miss America.
Now we know that she may never have to worry anymore about a second career she could always fall back on to (in case) - as a vocal impressionist or voice for TV/Movies, because she has this talent. That seems to have been established early on and it's quite good actually to be preceded by something nice. It's a fun news but it's actually a cerebral kind of news as well - brilliant!
However, we are not shooting for this impersonating thing at this time. What we want is for her to give singing the much higher priority. We know she can be fun and she can amaze us instantly. But besides all that, she's got pipes and has a lovely tone to it too. So, let's get on it. Start this new site up, Bill, please, before anybody else follows what I'm experiencing right now.
Seriously, her voice is embedded in my ears and I can't shake it off, but you know what's funny, is, while I was listening to Kady's voice, I caught myself staring at Kristy's photos. I couldn't help it, I guess. Bad sign or indication. Something is not right. I'm torn between them. According to Rose Royce's song, "I'm Going Down". Aha, I might, indeed, if I don't make up my mind.
I know this emotion can hurt me along the way, but I'm in it for an enjoyable ride, I would suppose AND HOPE SO, up to the point where either one lasts the longest. I even want to find out, in a fatalistic way, if I could stand having to choose between the two of them, if it comes down to it in the end. Guys, I'm all for my personal emotions this time. I cannot be just purely cerebral all the time. Got to try everything about yourself.
Darn, I've always wanted to say something like that all through the years of watching AI. Finally, I got a reason to do it. What can I say? I love beauty and talent!!! Amanda, here they are (again). What is it now, then? "Oooppss, I did it again" ???" OR, "Rescue me" ???
So, this is my commitment this year, Co. After the KM-MD fiascos 2 years in a row,
this year, I'm for the pretty blondes!! and I'm enjoying myself about it, too. ha ha ha ha!!!
Explanation: Both their round-1 performances didn't cut it -with the judges - being blown away by the sisters, instead, although higher expectations were on them. But I'm banking on the appearance of readiness and the market potential they call "the total package" thing. This is the explanation for the use of not being "cerebral" this time around for I've tried it before and it didn't work. Stubbornly, I go with my personal hunches without the help of academic calculations and poll casters. Katharine was different. She picked up an early steam. KC-KM are falling behind in those polls. They are the underdogs right now and yet I'm rooting for them. That's not being cerebral, but I don't care.
Kady fan here too! LOL. Looking forward to the Kat/Elliott duet coming out on Randy's new CD on Mar. 11th. Does anyone know if Kat and David Foster are still going to be putting out a CD together? {Fingers crossed!}
It's interesting looking at those pictures, Mattsie. Kady needs to find THAT SMILE on the show, not the nervous one she had working on Wednesday night. We'll chalk it up to nerves. I'm really not sure who's next in line to go with the girls. It's a pretty good group we've got left.
Gosh, reading that post...whenever I see KC & KM I immediately think Kelly Clarkson & Katharine McPhee so I had to re-process that for a second.
Heh, this is interesting from Kady's AI profile:
I want to make my own animal rescue shelter and I want 5 kids some day!!
She loves animals & wants lots of kids...sound familiar? Initials are the same...
Good luck to all of them.
