i don't know how much more i can even watch of Idol with his demeaning of the contestants. i mean he is telling a Taylor Hicks type contestant (example) that they just won the title with that performance, does he think the other contestants competing are deaf or what and they can't hear? they are going to have to do some remodeling of that show, and maybe even muzzle Simon to a point of what he can say, i mean this guy thinks the show runs on his mean-spirited mouth, i.e. Mandisa, Season 5, of course she showed more class than he did by giving back in kindness  and forgave him. because as much as i don't let him influence who i like, others are subject to go along with his every assinine word and think he's the music god or something. he annoys me, i like to watch the show because i want to hear and see the talent on the show, not because i think Simon knows it all, because he doesn't. he's an overpaid chair filler, who calls himself a judge.

i don't really see Idol going beyond two more years if that, if things don't change. and please if it ends, people of the UK, please take Simon back. i think we've given him enough money for doing absolutely nothing. make sure he takes his arrogance and pompeous choice of words in judging with him....."karaoke singing in a bar. like you belong on a cruiseship, wedding singer,"  just to name a few......well anyway the show will probably end soon because Simon, you are each week becoming more and more "predictable and getting boring." JMO folks

At times, I 'd just go mad about some things about idol. Then after a couple of days staying out in the country and back home, I'd go to my computer and guess where? Yes, here.

Dialidol and Zabasearch are predicting that David Cook is ahead of David Archuleta in the votes. We'll see about it tonight when Ryan reads the verdict. I guess DC will get the red mustang and DA will get the blue mustang, based on the color of their boxing robes. LOL. Anyway, here's the unlikely boxing match one would ever see, literally fighting in a boxing arena, but could be only be because of their musical prowess. The DAVIDS fight of the century. Good luck, DAVIDS!!

Yup, Dialidol is predicting a David Cook victory, and they've never been wrong in the 4 years of their existence. Zabasearch, however, has always been a fraud.

I think it was really shameful the way Simon and the judges tried to influence the voting with their too-soon predictions of a landslide Archie win. I don't know what their intention was, but the result was a frenzy of Cook votes by an incredulous AI viewing audience. Maybe that's what they wanted?

I don't keep up with any of the sites that do predictions, so this totally knocked me for a loop.
I mean talk about one totally surprised old grouch... it took me about 10 minutes to haul my
chin off the floor. Especially with that big a spread between the two.

But I have to say this: Carrie sure has some good people writing songs for her. And she sure didn't
look like Miss Country tonight, by a long shot. That song was pure genius--crossover country, loud and
pounding enough to almost be rock, just naughty enough but dang, mama, she woke up with a
wedding ring on her left hand, even if she didn't know her own last name. Katharine has got to find
her some songwriters that can do that for her. Not the same genre or style or anything, just people
who can figure out what she does best and write with that in mind.

Also loved seeing Carly and Michael J together. They looked and sounded like winners 
to me. And teaming Brooke and Graham Nash was another little bit of genius. I love that 
song.

I'm so happily surprized!! I've always been behind David Cook but figured with all the "tween" voters, that David A. was a sure bet!

I think this was the best result for both Davids. David A is a prodigy and I was sick to think of CD getting his hands on him to chew him up, use him up, and then spit him out when he had ruined David's fantastic voice to make him more $$$$$!!!  I know, I know David's father would stand up for his son. Hey, maybe that's why CD wouldn't want to have David A to deal with right now! He really would have a lot of legal red tape to deal with because of David's age. David A needs to "season" his performing talents a little and I just know he will be around to entertain us for a long, long, career.

David Cook is brilliant and he is mature enough to fight for and know what he wants! He's a great role model and I think he truly is the first real "male" American Idol!!!

What an exciting night for everyone and none more deserve the release of happy emotions than David Cook and his family!

Golly, this must be a sampling of how I would have felt if our Katharine had won American Idol! I'm so glad that Katharine is where she is and with the right people in her life both professionally and personally. This is truly going to be a memorable year for Katharine personally and professionally. "Something's coming, something is, and it is going to be great"...."the air is humming and something great is coming"........

CONGRATS TO DAVID COOK AND HIS FANS, and to David Archuleta, he will be just fine, he was AMAZING last night. he is so young with such a future. but to David Cook, he will do really well i'm sure, he looks pretty seasoned and is ready to make that hit cd, so again good luck to David Cook....

Haven't had a chance to watch the entire finale yet but I do know who wins so...I'll get the standings up here first and then see what's exciting things happened during the show.

David Cook was truly the wild card in this pool as you'll see with how much the scoreboard got shuffled around when his points counted.  We had votes from 2nd to 10th...DC was our #5 choice when we filled out the Top 12 ballots, way, way behind Mr. Archuleta.
