Okay, well, I'm not generalizing ALL the reality shows of MTV but I've noticed that most of the couples who get on MTV's reality shows (i.e. Newlyweds, Meet the Barkers, Carmen and Dave) all end up separating and/or divorcing. Here are some examples: Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County Kristin Cavallari & Stephen Colletti Kristin has gone on to date Brody Jenner, but as I've read over at TeenPeople.com, they have already parted ways for good. I'm not counting on it though..Kristin?!? Meanwhile, Stephen is doing great as a VJ for MTV's TRL and winning more fans by the day. Did I mention that he's one hot VJ? Lauren Conrad & Jason Wahler Lauren broke up with Jason after she saw him kiss his ex, Jessica on one episode of LB where they had this fashion show benefit thing. Jason tried to win her back and they did get back together, with Lauren even ditching an important summer internship to spend the summer with Jason in Malibu. However, as per TeenPeople.com (again) they have parted ways already. I hope it's for good this time, that Jason is a scum. Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson Need I say more? The rumor mills are swirling right now that Jessica is sleeping, er, I mean dating Dane Cook; she is co-hosting the Teen Choice Awards with him while Nick is seen many times frolicking around with another MTV VJ/Entertainment Tonight correspondent, Vanessa Minnillo. Carmen and Dave: 'Til Death Do Us Part Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro Hmm..could it be because Dave is more successful than Carmen right now?(Read: The second season of Rockstar is smokin' hot) Just a thought. Anyways, Carmen already made the big step: filing those nasty divorce papers. Meet the Barkers Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler Well, I don't have much juice on this latest separation at the moment, however, I do know for a fact that Shanna is devastated by this event, even posting a statement over at Myspace.com; seeking comfort from fans..she has a fanbase?! Autobiography: Ashlee Simpson Ashlee Simpson and Ryan Cabrera They appeared on each other's videos, just a proof that the relationship was jinxed right from the start. They were cute alright, but I got dizzy with the on and off thing. Two good things happened out of all this though, Ryan became a smash artist and Ashlee was caught lip-synching on SNL. Do you guys know any more hook-ups that happened on one of MTV's reality shows that panned out in the end? What do you think of the couples above?
