Just a note on the scoring for next week. I anticipate points going on the board. Here's the parameters:
4 points available for the Top 12 picks:
If the person you picked 9th goes home....a perfect 4 points for you.
If who you picked 8th or 10th goes home...3 points.
If your 7th or 11th place pick goes home...2 points
6th or 12th place...1 point.
If the person was in your Top 5...0 points.
And then of course the elimination point will be out there as well. So the scoreboard SHOULD get moving next week. I sincerely hope so.
It's official, "The Nine" Second Chance Bonus Round will be added to the pool!
Details coming this weekend, meantime, all pool participants should start thinking about the order of eliminations for "The Nine" remaining contestants.
NOTE: The Nine - Second Chance Bonus Round is open for the 25 Pool Participants. We will continue to do a weekly selection too. I'll post instructions this weekend for the second chance bonus round.
P.S. Other members of KMF can submit a weekly elimination selection for fun. The weekly selection is due on Tuesdays by 2 p.m. PDT / 5 p.m. EDT.
ONE FINAL NOTE: I've discussed doing weekly prizes and something for the overall winner. We are currently looking for individuals/sponsors to contribute something, prizes would be something like "A Taylor Hicks CD," AI memorabilia, gift cards, etc. ($5-$15 values) for weekly prizes. So, post on this thread if you would be willing to contribute a weekly prize.
Also, if everyone is interested in contributing a small participant fee of $5-$10 each, we could do a "Grand Prize" of tickets to the AI summer tour or something else. Let me know what ya'll think and the AI 6 Pool Committee will get something organized.
What's strange about Sanjaya is this...I actually thought his audition was pretty good. And in very, very small flashes he shows that he had an OK voice. I think the last 5 seconds of 'Bathwater' was pretty good last week. Now for some reason he seems incapable of singing up to his capabilities and I'm starting to think he's letting all of this attention get to his head. I'm sure he's thinking up what kind of crazy hairdo he can do this week to get people talking.
And the judges...I think Simon realizes that saying what he thinks about Sanjaya is just going to get him even more votes so...his performances speak for themselves.
