Melinda has been slipping in votes. Plus, she doesn't really make it exciting to watch her like Jordin and Blake do. I don't know....Melinda may come in 3rd.

Well, so much for Sanjaya. Voters are very much up for grabs this year - have a bad night and you're head is on the block. Only Melinda appears to be safe.

The bottom three was right on based on their performances last night.

HE'S OUT!!!! SANJAYA IS OUT!!!! HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA ... I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!! At last!!!! Hahahahahhaha .... I don't care that I don't get the pool right .... but he's out ... I'm just so so so so happy!!! Hahahahhaha ... No more bad singing next week.

What's next week's theme?

I really think that Lakisha and Phil are in the ellimination spot next week... Lakisha has a super great voice .... but I don't think she got the "whole package" to be an idol.... As for Phil ... I think he is lucky ... heheheh .. yes, he can sing ... but most of the time, he can't connect to the songs...

And Melinda, my 2nd fav after Jordin, like Simon says, she must have her confidence in this ... this shyness of her can become a boomerang ... I really do hope that she and Jordin will be the final 2 ...

Blake! You're my fav male singer this season! Go Blake, Go!

I think if the AI6 contestants are making records, the ones that I will buy are: Jordin's, Melinda's, and Blake's. That's it ... well .. maybe those are the only 3 people that will be offered a recording contract.. Unlike last year, most of the Top 12 got a recording. I think everybody got it except for Chicken Little, Lisa, and Melissa, right? Kat, Chris, Tay, Elliott, Ace, Paris, Kellie, Bucky, and Mandisa all got a recording ... I think .. hehehe ..

Yeah she has one. She's taking her time to record songs, I think she's doing a Contemporary Christian album. I think she's talked about this on her myspace blog.

^Yeah, we west coasters like the internet spoilers. Thanks to 'AI' developments being a part of major headlines, I can find out who's eliminated almost three hours before broadcast time out here. East coasters must bite their nails having to see it live as it airs.

Well, I'm happy at least at one thing:

I initially hit that on the nose when most people put Sanjaya at #5. Somehow I had that feeling the fad would wear off sooner rather than later. Even Howard Stern and his minions must have gotten bored and moved on to his next person in pop culture to pester.

Outside the pop culture jokes and put-downs of Sanjaya--when you read up on the reality of the hardships he's gone through...you realize that he's actually a good person who's just fighting to get to the top like others in his shoes. I actually felt some emotion when he broke down finding out the reality that he was going. But, he'll make good money on the tour this summer and probably be able to do something in the entertainment industry. I don't see a major label giving him a record contract though. I just hope he doesn't get under the wing of an indie exploitive label that will turn him into a joke again. All wannabe singers should be given some kind of respect and not used so some slimebucket can milk money off him or her.

Did you notice Sanjaya changing the words to 'Something To Talk About' at the end of the show? At one point he threw in the line: "Let's give 'em something to talk about...other than hair." He didn't do anything special with his hair last night (and the bandana was a weak prop choice)--so it makes you wonder if his fans were looking forward to that mullet I once thought he'd get to eventually.

Well, we were all off on our elimination pick this week as usual. Though Lakisha was a great educated guess. Those of us who picked her were almost right anyway. It all might have come down to a few points between her and Sanjaya.

Next week will apparently be inspirational songs in conjunction with the Idol Gives Back shows. Lakisha will probably shine in that category, so Phil will be the most logical choice next time. It'll likely be Phil/Lakisha/Chris in the eliminations for the next three weeks.  After that, Jordin/Melinda/Blake could be in any order...though I'm 100% positive Jordin will win.

By the way, I guessed right that Simon might get some flak for his misconstrued reaction to Chris mentioning the tragedy at Virginia Tech last night. I thought they spent way too much time, though, trying to save face in my opinion. You can't say 'AI's PR machine doesn't do a thorough job to clear up things that might get misinterpreted.

Got that right my friend. It'll be exciting what the contestants would do now that the Sanjaya clout hanging around them is gone. Will their performances become better? Will Phil finally be eliminated next? (LOL, had to get that one in) Will Kiki return back to her once glorious self and impress Simon again? And most importantly, can Melinda have a bad day? (goodness, I hope she doesn't!)

I'm also interested to see how Jordin performs next week after Simon's comments about her last night. I hope she doesn't crack under the pressure of his words.

UNBELIEVEABLE!  Sanjaya is gone!  I didn't really believe it was going to happen but finally justice was served and Mr. Malakhar is out the door.  I must say the show won't be the same without him.  But at least now (hopefully) some of the more deserving contestants (ahem, Jordin) will get more attention from everyone.

OK, here's the weekly rundown of the scores....somehow I stayed on top.  Although, if sirdoug wouldn't have dropped out...we'd have a new leader this week but he's gone so I keep the top spot for another week.
