So around 5:30pm my best friend Lindsey and I took off for the Van Andel Arena for the concert. Now this may sound extremely sad, but this was my first concert. Our seats were on the floor to the very left, row 17, but since the VA is a relatively small arena, the 17th row seemed more like the 10th.
Now since this is a Katharine forum and I bet I'd go on forever and ever with my Chris review (he looked so gorgeous, by the way), I'll skip him for the most part. However, I'd like to point out that that poor boy is definitely having trouble with his voice. Either he's really sick or just losing it, but he didn't sound much like himself. Although this didn't stop him from sounding amazing and getting the loudest applause of the night. ;)
Okay now Katharine! I knew exactly when she was going to come on stage so I grabbed Lindsey's hand and jumped up before anybody else, waiting impatiently for the "2, 3, 4." It finally came and there was Katharine, sitting right on top of the ramp looking as beautiful as ever. The crowd didn't go as wild for her as I had expected them to, but Lindsey and I made sure to give her all the "woos" and "ow ow owwwws" we could manage to scream without the Taylor fans in front of us giving us weird looks. She had that backless black dress on and she just seemed to float around the stage like a complete angel. After she had finished with BHATCT, she gave her speech and seemed genuinely touched by the reception that Grand Rapids gave her. Although I bet she says that to every arena. ;) She started singing SOTR and that seemed to be what the crowd was waiting for her to sing. The place went wild and there was never a silent moment during the song because everybody was too busy screaming their approval. You could tell her voice still wasn't 100% but that doesn't mean she didn't sound absolutely wonderful.
Skipping ahead to LIA, she did the funniest and most adorable moves up on the ramp when it was just her and Taylor! I actually think she gave Taylor a good run for his money. In one of my pictures of it, she actually looks like she's doing the robot? Anyway, I have to admit that I didn't pay as much attention to Kat as I would've liked to during this performance because whenever Chris was on stage, he was the main focus of my camera lens. But I must say that whenever I took my eyes off of Chris, they went directly to Katharine and she looked like she was having a great time with everybody. A funny thing I'd like to mention is that she went over to Chris and put her arm on his shoulder and I freaked out, trying desperately to zoom in on my camera, but with my luck she walked away before I could get the shot lol.
I have to admit that my camera isn't the best digital camera in the world, so I apologize for the low quality of the pictures. Also, a lot of my Kat pics didn't turn out very well and that was pretty disappointing but oh well. You guys can get the general idea, I hope! Oh, and for some reason there's a small red dot right in the middle of every pic? lmao I don't have an answer as to what that is! But yeah, I'll get the pics up as soon as I can!Edit: Okay, who wants pics?
