Is this it? Kat's single? So soulful n so sad. Will certainly show off her vocals tho. Will some of the words b changed?

This was already confirmed as not being her single--but just a selection from her album she thought would be apropos to a new year message. It's pretty sad for a new year message...though I think Kat had in mind that it meant starting anew after a tumultuous relationship of some kind. There's probably many who will relate to that--and why she probably picked it to sing on the parade. Anything people can relate to when she sings, the better. Just as long as those with hangovers New Year's morning don't think she's singing to those frogs.

Thanks for the transcription of the lyrics, by the way. That last line is one of the saddest lines of the year...other than James Blunt's final line in 'You're Beautiful.' Of course, Kat and the producers may have changed a few lines. There has to be a gender change in the lyric, too, so "Girl" will have to be "Guy" or some other word that reflects a male.

This should be a powerful performance to say the least. And it's different...especially when you have a float about pure water and frogs hovering over your head while you sing it.
