Is it still possible she does a small tour like she did last summer going to fairs, and places such as Six Flags like she did even though she doesnt have a new album out or a label right now? Can she still sing her old songs even though shes not with RCA anymore?
She can still sing the songs where she has writing credit. The others would have to be with permission, unless she (or her new label) buys the rights from BMG. I think it quite unlikely that Kat makes any concert appearances until her next album drops. Of course she still could appear with Elliott to sing their net duet.
Thanks, yea plus her marriage, acting and that I dont see her touring or making apperances for awhile
Hey, if Kat hopped on one of those BSH tour buses that passes out BSH hairspray in various cities around the U.S.--I'd take it. I'm sure their bunk beds aren't as panic-worthy as they were in her 'AI' tour bus.
I think it's safe to say that Kat won't be doing a major music tour until well into next year--hopefully on a BSH budget AND David Foster's bank account. I want to see Kat get a classy production once she finally gets a show all to herself. But it's possible she could appear as a guest on those radio station events held around the country during the summer. That's why I wish she'd do an EP or single to re-introduce herself with a new sound via David Foster or whoever. On the other hand, that new sound may need some time to be nurtured with David in the studio so she can find a new, unique style that will finally carve her niche.
One thing we tend to forget: The "IKWBL" soundtrack album. From all indications, Kat may have recorded at least one track for the album...if we can get any sense of what's what via the guy on IMDb.com who saw the test-screening and his vague information. While I can't readily picture Kat having a hit single with a cover of "I Know What Boys Like"--she continually surprises me in what she's capable of in songs I think wouldn't work for her.
Of course, you can't tour with a soundtrack album. Nevertheless, if she had a hit single, she could make a guest appearance on those radio station shows as mentioned above. Those usually frustrate the fanbases, though, based on getting an occasional beer over the head from a rival fanbase.
Well, I'll rejoin Kat's fanclub once she starts touring with a full show. Having a massive welcome for her in Portland again is long overdue. At least we know a full show wouldn't involve a giant Boa and strip pole dancers a la a Britney show. David would incite punishment if that happened...
