Being the curmudgeon I am, I just wish song writers would someday figure out the difference between "you and i" and "you and me" but I suppose sometimes they just have to go for the rhyme. It still makes me want to get out my red pencil.

Totally AMAZING! Hats off to the ad agency or the airline exec that came up with this briliant commercial.Secondly this is more proof of how David Foster brings out the best in Katharine.

groucho sooooo ture hahahaha i put myself kinda in the middle of these 2 groups. i love her fun stuff and probably love her classic katharine sounding songs more(like this one) but it is so funny to see the diversity. hahaha my true comments about this song are on the other thread but i may as well say it here too...OMFGGGGGGGGGG I LOVE IT SOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH I CAN'T HANDLE IT ok im done for this thread ahaha. this song is absolutely beautiful i can't wait for more new things now from DF/KM. this is a delightful and beautiful sample of what's to come. i am so happy right now i can't slap the smile off my face.

Do we have any official word of what the song is actually called?
Consensus on all the blogs seems to be "All I need is you". When I first heard it I just assumed "If you could choose to go anywhere". Diffy has it as "I will be there for you".

Not really. At this time last year she was in the middle of her radio tour, which lead into the Love Story TV promo tour, which lead into filming THB. She was out there plenty at this time last year.
As for the JAL thing, it's a very beautiful song but as Groucho said...I'm in the 20's group and I don't want her album to sound like this.
Oh and about Sara B's "Love Song"...well, I think that reached #1 on the charts so I'm not sure how Katharine could have done any better than that although I agree with you that it's a good song for Kat's voice.

I have to say that this song is by far better than ANY of the songs on Kat's first album. Now before I get an angry mob telling me how Neglected or AIG is so much better, here's what I mean: while Kat had many good songs on the album, and songs like Neglected and AIG are quite good indeed, NONE had the "magic melody" which makes tunes memorable megahits for the masses. This song does. And don't be too quick to put it in AC and discount Top 40 just yet. I believe the right songs can still cross over to be multi-chart megahits. Yes, even slow "sappy" ballads like this.
I don't think you need to worry about this Joe. I'm sure the album will be a mixture of ballads, mid-tempo and at least some up-tempo. Though I expect better continuity between tracks this time.
