Updating totals. Kat went up 4 spots on Billboard 200 with a slight 6% drop in sales. She has passed 300K Finally!!!!!

So, what were Kat's sales #s for this past week, and what is all this about Love Story on a TV show? Is a one time deal or a weekly show? Anyone know the name of it and who's going to be staring in it. Enquiring minds need to know, lol!!!!

The buzz is that "Love Story" will be used as background music for the (weekly) series "My Sassy Girl" a romantic comedy with Jessie Bradford and Elisha Cuthbert.  The series is now in post-production.



That's originally a Korean movie..too cute and too funny! Love Story is THE most perfect song for that particular show! Very happy news indeed!

She went up four spots despite losing another 6% in sales?  Wow.  It won't take much to get her back into the Top 100.  I'm guessing these concerts will help and a new single on the radio would certainly aid the cause.

Actually, this is the first time Katharine's album has actually moved up on the charts!  112 to 108.  Woooo!  She's dropped places every previous week.  Positive spin alert!  Maybe that's a good sign.

Ithought Katharine said LS was NOT going to be used in My Sassy Girl. I'm confused. Hope she's wrong.

I find it so funny how people are so easy to judge people they don't know, but think they have the right to scrutinize others because those "others" are celebrities. From Britney Spears to Katharine McPhee radio hosts and magazines will always make unfair statements and allegations. I am fans of both Britney and Katharine, two totally different artists, but I find that whether you are a icon or a promising newcomer from a hit reality show, the punches and jabs will come and never stop...but I have news for the haters, they won't stop either so you can take your opinions and give them to people that care, because the fans are like, SO over it.

I don't think we can hope the album will get as much of a boost to get it back up to the top 20, but any positive small surge is a good thing. Apparently Love Story will not be used on "My Sassy Girl", but the new LS video sounds like it may be hot, so maybe it will help.

I dunno if Kat's album was certified gold, but I do know that Elliot's sales are at 250.000 even, so no...Kat is 80,000 copies ahead according to Billboard.

No, as of now her album has not been RIAA certified gold. I believe the album has fallen of the BB 200 and it will be difficult to add another 150K to the shipping totals.

I'm sure you all are curious to know the latest sales figures.  Here goes..from USA Idol Chatter

Kat sold 700, same as last week, which was down from 800 two weeks ago, and has sold 357,000.

I'll try to find download figures.
