Been having a log of trouble logging on lately (may 23-26). Anyone else? Maybe just a volume/overload problem? The time I have the least trouble is something like 4 AM, a time when I am not normally conscious, but things have been crazy lately.

Yes, Groucho I had alot of trouble tonight for over 2 hours trying to get on the site. Kept getting "stuck " in middle of trying to log on, check out the forums etc. I gave up for awhile and then came back on after 11 p.m. I am not so computer knowledgeable so am not sure what happened here. All I know is that I totally panicked when this happened. The thought of not being able to go on this site makes me crazy.Hope it is all straightened out now. I have the McPheever way too badly to be away from here for too long. Blessings to Kat and her family!!!

Sorry guys. The traffic has been tremendously heavy and the server is being attacked by hackers. I am trying to tweak it to give the best possible performance. Hopefully the current settings are optimal until this heavy rush subsides. I apologize for the inconvience.

So we are seeing DoS attacks? And is the email system working? I sent you a couple of emails through the site and was wondering if you received them. Then I just tried sending one to myself and am still waiting for it to show up...

EDIT: OK, I changed my email to mindspring and it seems to be OK now.

There's a problem with links and images while editing a post. The html gets fubared, and I have to use the html mode to straighten it out. I'm glad you put in the html editor!

Did anyone notice recently the message field is acting abnormal? Sometimes it goes very wide, sometimes narrow and sometimes throwing all the messages to the farthest right. What happened Chad? Any idea?

Yes.I had the same problem as Katidol just mentioned about the "wide screen effect" or something. It was strange-I am so computer challenged that I didn;t know if it was a wrong button I had pushed or what. Thanks for all you do chad!!!

ok, I think the extra wide posts are because of HTML markup, specifically the second on is because of that big link. Not really much I can do, it is just as if someone posted a HQ pic from AI performances.

Chad, this is another one I'd like you to see. Scroll down to the bottom and see how the last few threads are pushed all the way to the right. Is that caused by HTML also? Note that these symptoms never happened before. They started to appear since last week.

Nice find. It is an HTML problem, but I reported the problem to the developers. Should be able to be fixed.

Hey chad,
Given my registering several screen names, and then thinking the better of it, I've decided to unregister all but this one, which I actually unregistered once, but then reregistered(therefore loosing my status as Kat Addict, DARNIT!)... But whenever I unregister a screen name, or occasionally when I submit a post, I'll get a screen that shows some javascript and some server code and a big headline that says something like "Error in / program"... Then, I'll try and refresh, and I find that I"m locked off of kmf for about a half hour...
don't know what's causing this...

No. It was an old message by Chad. Look at the date he posted the message.  The signature feature is still disabled.

There's a bug with the 'quote' option. When the post you are quoting already contains a quote, the first quote section ends with a [/ quote] instead of a ">/div<" , and then an extra ">/div<"  is inserted at the end. I usually fix it manually by switching to HTML, replacing the [ / quote] with  ">/div<" and deleting the extra ">/div<" at the end. If you don't do that, all the text ends up inside the inner-most quote box.

Chad, can you delete that thread about the "Kaylor Epidemic" I think someone reposted it here somewhere I just don't remember in which board, I know who re-posted it though. If Kat were to come on this site and see that thread she would be heart-broken. It originally started on IDF and then someone re-posted it here.The person that originally posted it on IDF said it was a lie and they wanted to see how people were going to react.

Popups? I didn't realize they popped up. I will definitely remove them if that is the case. They should only pop up if you click on them. If you are talking about the banner in general, can you explain why you don't like it?

For some time now, I have been unable to see anyone in the chat... and I know they are there because looking at whos online it is the usual suspects.

I go to chat.. I'm the only one there., I cleared my cache, have all the new smileys so that should be ok....
