Enough with Taylor Swift or Katie Perry already – there are some really great new pop stars out there. Read a bit about the hottest pop acts of 2019 in this article.

Billie Eilish

This pop songstress’ real and full name is Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O’Connell. The American singer’s first experience with music was when she was just a child singing in a choir in her hometown of LA. Do you remember her viral debut single, “Ocean Eyes”? It was streamed more than 35 million times on Spotify alone.

Billie released her debut EP, called Don’t Smile at Me, in 2017. After its great success, Apple Music named the singer as their newest Up Next artist.

On March 29, 2019, the singer released her debut studio album, which bears the somewhat strange title “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?”

Ella Mai Howell

This British singer and songwriter has been signed to 10 Summers Records in the past five years. Her EPs are called Ready, Time, and Change. Boo’d Up, a single from her self-titled debut, won a Grammy for Best R&B Song.

Courtney Hadwin

Another British singer on our hot pop list, Courtney Ann Hadwin is most famous for competing on the thirteenth season of America’s Got Talent and ITV’s The Voice Kids UK 2017. She performed a Tina Turner hit on the latter competition, after which Danny Jones started mentoring her. On America’s Got Talent, she sang “Hard to Handle” by Otis Redding, after which the judges compared her to Janis Joplin (favorably).

Kehlani Ashley Parrish

The American dancer, singer, and songwriter, whom Atlantic Records signed, may have become famous as a member of a teen pop group, but she’s come a long way since. She released Cloud 19, her first commercial mixtape, in 2014. Her second one, You Should Be Here, debuted on the national R&B/Hip-Hop chart at no. 5. She received a Grammy Award nomination in 2016 and has opened for Demi Lovato and Halsey during their tours in 2018, in North America and Oceania respectively. She also joined forces with Cardi B on the latter’s song Ring, which ranked on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at no. 28.

Kehlani released her third mixtape, While We Wait, on February 22 of this year. It entered the US Billboard 200 at number nine and sold 6,000 copies the very first week.
